Identifikasi Senyawa Sitotoksik Karang Lunak Sarcophyton sp. Dari Perairan Pulau Panggang Taman Nasional Kepulauan Seribu

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi senyawa sitotoksik dari Sarcophyton sp. yang hidup dengan mendominasi ruang bentik di perairan Pulau Panggan Taman Nasional Kepualaun Seribu. Proses isolasi menggunakan kromatografi preparatif dengan pemandu fraksinasi uji sitotoksik terhadap sel tumor MCF-7. Sementara, elusidasi isolat aktif didasari dari teknik spektroskopi UV-VIS, HR-ESI- MS, dan NMR 400 MHz. Hasil penelitian menemukan tiga jenis senyawa sitotoksik, yaitu cembranoid sarcophytoxide (IC50 36,041 ppm), Sarcophytol (IC50 71,03 ppm), dan sarcophytolide (IC50 67,227 ppm). Secara ekologis, hal ini menunjukan bahwa Sarcophyton sp. dari terumbu karang perairan Pulau Panggang menghasilkan berbagai senyawa bioaktif, sehingga mampu memenangkan persaingan ruang hidup, menghindari predasi, dan mendominasi di wilayah ini.
