Aktivitas Antimikroba Ekstrak Jamur Endofit Kabatiella caulivora var. B yang Diisolasi dari Alyxia reinwardtii BL

Jamur endolit Kabatiella caulivora var B diisolasi dari Alyxia reinwardtii (pulasari), tumbuhan ini diambil dari Kebun Raya Purwodadi, Pasuruan, J awa Timur. Tujuan penelitian ini menentukan aktivitas antimikroba metabolit yang terkandung dalam ekstrak jamur endofit Kabatiella caulivara vars B terhadap Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli, Salmonella thypi, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Slaphylocooccus aureus and Candida albicans. Uji aktivitas antimikroba dilakukan secara dithsi cakram (disc diffusion method) dengan dua macam konsentrasi ekstrak (10 mg/disk and 5 mg/disk). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak metanol dan ekstrak etil asetat Kabatiella caulivora var. B memiliki aktivitas antimikroba terhadap semua mikroba uji pada konsentrasi 10 mg/disk sedangkan ekstrak metanol tidak menunjukkan hambatan pertumbuhan terhadap Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 dan Candida albicans pada kadar 5 mg/ disk. Penemuan jamur endofit yang mampu menghasilkan metabolit bioaktif merupakan terobosan baru yang berpotensi secara komersial sebagai sumber bahan obat dari mikroba yang ada di dalam tumbuhan inangnya.
